Nutella Brownies






I vowed to never post this recipe and use it for my own, selfish purposes but alas, here it is.

I don’t even think this post requires an explanation. Wonderful. Simply wonderful.


  • 6 oz dark baking chocolate
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 ½ cups caster sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsps vanilla
  • 2 tbsps espresso (or brewed coffee)
  • 1 cup flour
  • ⅔ cup Nutella



  1. Set oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 9 x 13 pan with parchment paper / foil
  2. Microwave the chocolate butter until the butter is melted (90 seconds)
  3. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth
  4. Stir in sugars then eggs and vanilla
  5. Add the espresso
  6. Mix in flour just until combined. Do not overmix
  7. Pour batter in pan
  8. Zig zag the Nutella over the batter using a knife
  9. Bake for 25-28 minutes or until the edges start to pull away (they will cook as they cool)
